Surprise

Last weekend we went up to Flagstaff for Nana Parkers 80th B-day party. She had such a great turn out. It was fun to see all the cousins and enjoy the nice weather. I love a good storm and all of the ailments that go along with it. Down here we do have thunder and lightning but its not the same. I can remember when I was a kid and would spend my summers in Snowflake. I used to love too sit on the porch and watch the rain. I love how the thunder is so loud it almost takes your breath away. I remember just thinking how amazing and blessed I was to be able to enjoy all of Gods creations. So a good storm I guess you could say takes me back to that carefree place. We had excellent weather and a good storm. Not tons of rain but some good loud thunder and lightning. My kids weren't to fond of it. Ty and Tate are both afraid of thunder. We played hard and the kids ran themselves ragged. I cant wait for it to be in the 70s here and actually want to spend time outside. I miss the park and the back yard. Anyways we had a lot of fun and enjoyed our trip. We are blessed to have such great families. Its always a good time when we spend it with them. We missed having B and Jace with us. Nana Parker is the best. Since I have been a part of the family she has never forgotten a bday. That's a big task with so many of us. She is a great cook and an amazing seamstress. We love getting quilts from her. Thank goodness she makes them for us or we might not have any blankets. I have grown to know and love her. She is extremely selfless and is always serving others. What a great example she is to our family. My kids and I are so blessed to be a part of her family. Reed, Chad and their cousin Kevin Canter
Ty was trying to hide behind the pole because she was getting into the desserts knowing she should not be. I think she was giving me a dirty look since I caught her!I think this could pass for an engagement picture:) We took the Lake Mary road home for the purpose of the scenic route. I have never been on this road and the extra 30min was worth it. I mean seriously look at the trees. Why does anyone live in the valley. We did see lots of elk but I couldn't get a picture. I did get a picture of Chad on the side of the road but I will keep that one away from the blog. We had a great trip and enjoyed the day spent in great weather!!!!!
