The Harts Party

Today is Christmas Eve, I guess it was now its Christmas Day, Merry Christmas!!!!!! We had our party at Chads cousins house as usual. Kyle and Linda are so good about getting everyone together on the holidays. We had a good time catching up with everyone. Everytime we go it seems as though Kyle has an awesome project that he has been working at. This time it is a old corvette for Lexy, his daughter. Can you even imagine turning 16 and having this car to drive?
Here is the man himself. This is Kyle and Chad. Thanks for being so kind and always genuine! We did our white elephant gift exchange as usual, and gifts for the kids. Chad and I thought we were pretty funny when the gift we took was picked. Yes, we did it we took the rock from my earlier post. They were giving it the ooh aah ,thats pretty comments. I couldnt help but be amused. We had a great time as always. Their home is amazing and they are so kind to let us all come and bring our kids. I took a picture of their house because it truly does amaze me. We will see if this pic does any justice. I am sure it wont. Its up in north mesa, red mountain area. I think what amazes me the most is that it is built into the side of a mountain.
Everyone says that Amber and I look like sisters. I take that as a compliment! Im grateful to have such good sis-in-laws.

She was really excited to get her gift. The morning should be fun!

Ya I know once again I am lame but there is something about a full moon. I love when it is full. The kids were saying in the car that they could see a man on the moon. Brooks your eyes must be awesome to see that. Since this is my journal I can write lame things like this right? That I could watch the moon when its full forever. It looked really cool tonight, but once again my pictures are not quite capturing everything. This also happens to be at my favorite location. Chevron on Power and Baseline. I think I need stock in it we are there so often. Got to have my DP extra ice and the added bonus is the styrofoam cup.

The more I look the more I love these!!

Here are some more family pics. Every time I look I like them more. Thanks Chea and I hope you dont care that I am putting these on here.

Christmas Sunday

Here are the kids before church. Its was fun to get them all ready in their Christmas attire. Although if you know me, being at church by 8 AM is not fun. Its nearly impossible. If I had my choice I would still be in bed at that time.

Caution this is really long!!!!!!

This week Brooks had a lot going on at school. Nothing all to productive, but fun for her nonetheless. She did not go to school on Mon. due to the garbage we are all dealing with as moms. Coughing all night, fevers for no reason, hives, chapped skin, headaches etc.... My kids are having a rough go this month. Tues she had her class presentation. It was very well practiced and turned out great. My camera on the other hand was not so great. I need a new one anyway, its been on the fritz. Brooks memorized her part perfect. She had to dress up in something that resembled Mexico. Thanks to Amber she looked great.Softball started back up on Tues. which was exciting for me. Ya I know Im lame, but I look forward to it. I will have to say the first game was fine the 2nd game was freezing. Wed I worked while Kristine babysat for me. Thank goodness for her, my kids love when her and Ky come to play. I love it to because I actually run on time. I managed to work 14.5 hours on Wed!Thurs B had a fashion show at school. It was so funny all the kids got up there and did the strut. I didnt get any good pics of her just pics of her 2 biggest fans.
I think Ty was trying to ask "Are we done yet"?

I had to leave there to get back to Tates pre school party. He is so funny and had been telling his teacher that he would not wear his PJs to school. I asked him why and he said thats weird. Mrs. Tracy managed to talk him into it and he had a good time. Thurs was an awesome day. Wed was my last day of work for a while so we have been able to enjoy Christmas festivities and handing out treats and what not. Thanks to Kierstin Pennington for making such yummy treats for us to hand out. I really am almost as good as Bettty Crocker. Just ask Chad I cook like you cant believe!!! It was nice to not have the stress though! Fri B stayed home from school since they werent doing anything. She played once again with Madison Lamb for a while till we had to head into the movies. We went and saw National Treasure for Cadens bday. The entire fam went and we had a blast. I left Ty with my mom this time since the last time didnt work out to well. Tate was difficult enough to keep quiet. The movie was really good. Brooks stayed the night at my parents with Trey and Tori. Mom is such a good grandma and enjoys having her grandkids around. As soon as the movie was over I dropped her off.Yes I know that Tate is a cheeseball, but at least he lets me take pics nonstop! On Sat afternoon we went to the Hiatt Family Party. There are a million of us and it was a little chaotic, but fun. It was good to see everyone and continue on with tradition even as we are outgrowing the house. Before long we are going to have to start doing things at a church building! We did the regular eat, pinata, nativity scene and visit from Santa. When they asked Tate what part he wanted to do for the nativity he said he wanted to be a race car. Not sure he is quite grasping the idea of it all. The told him he was a power ranger so he would wear the head wrap and the robe. When it came time for the sheppards to come out he was no where to be found! I found him sliding head first down the stairs. Here is Brooks being an angel. Im not sure it that one really fits for her or not. ;)

Phil and Karl are the greatest uncles ever. They look so much alike to me.

The 2 that started it all. What amazing examples of love gma and gpa have showed us all. Thats for teaching us the importance of life. We love you!!

Gramps doing his thing. I dont ever remember a Christmas without this happening.

Ya I know this is mean but I had to do it. She will laugh about it later, for now she may still be scarred!

Mimi and Grandpa Ed always make a point to come by and say hello to everyone.

Thanks for being such great grandparents! The kids are so blessed and lucky!

This is the line for the pinata. The kids were a tad ancy after waiting forever to get a turn.

All in all we had fun and enjoyed our family time. I am blessed with not just an amazing immediate family but also extended family. Gma and Gpa instilled in our parents how to be good people and have continued to encourage us as grand kids and then our kids to do the same. Its not always an easy task to keep a family of this size close and headed in the right direction. I thank them for always caring, loving and blessing our lives. They are the most righteous people I know and I pray to some day be as good as they are!!!!

I am just doing another post of the entire week at once. That seems to be about the quickest way to get it done, and quick seems to be working for me right now. I love to do hair, and I appreciate my clients and them tolerating my kids, but I does have its hard times. I will give you a little insight to why its hard but I don't have any pics. On tues I had about 10 min left with my client. Tate came in from outside covered in mud and shivering. I put him in my bath and figured he would be ok for that long. Before long I heard Ty making noise, and I thought she was in her bed asleep. He decided to get her up and put her in the bath as well. As I was walking down the hall I could smell chocolate cake or something. As I went in my bathroom Tate was stirring with my broom in the tub. He opened 3 boxes of devils food cake mix and dumped them in the bath. Ty thought it was great, she was licking it up as fast as she could. My 1st instinct was to be mad and then you just start to wonder how in the world does he come up with this. It was a big mess but he just wanted to make a cake so you cant be to mad!!! Brooklyn had a book report due on Friday and you would have thought that I was back in 2nd grade again. Ya its maybe a pride issue but I have to make sure that her report is top notch. Needless to say I spent countless hours working on the thing. I would end up working most the day and then get to my school work at night. Lets hope she gets a good grade. I am elated that its turned in and my nights wont be devoted to 2nd grade. On Wed night Chad and I went to a Christmas party in Tuscon for the manufactured homes of Az. Ya need I say more but we had a great time and won many gifts. We won a bottle of wine, go figure the only Mormons in the room would win that. Also we got a gift card to Target and a cute Santa figurine that I left on the table. We also won this nice rock thing I dont even know what it is but it makes me laugh when I see it. I loved the Santa but was carrying an ipod docking station as well and didnt have enough hands. Owell we had fun and enjoyed laughing about all the drunk people. You do what you have to do to make money right.
Now you see why its funny? I think most of the people there thought this was a prize to be won. Thanks Kristine and Ky for watching my kids again. I wont bore you with the rest of my week. Seriously its just busy, I think mostly because I have 2 little kids that are amazing with what they come up with, why I am trying to work. I have to say that I will be glad when Christmas is through and things slow down. I know everyone feels the same way so good luck staying sane. Oh and thanks Mom and Michelle for helping me out with Tate on Thurs night. I love you both and appreciate your selflessness!!

Our week in a nutshell.....

Well it feels like it has been crazy busy since the last time I posted. Not sure if it really is or my work schedule is just busy. Either way there is lots to post. On Mon we went and had our family pictures done with Chea Lamb. She is awesome!! We are not the easiest family to photograph,Ty wanted nothing to do with it and Tate loves to be a ham but, is not always making the most perfect face. Owell that is what its all about, and B is always looking good. There are 363 in all but I think we will use this one for our cards. If you want to see any of the others look on chealamb.com. K so that was Monday and Tues. was nothing to exciting. Wed we had Breckens bday party. We went to Julie and Brandons for pizza and cake and ice cream. If you party Cummard style you must do home made ice cream. Thats like the greatest treat ever. I think I had it a total of 3 times before and now its quite often. Anyways, Brecken and Tate are 2 peas in a pod. They are so much alike and love the same things. It makes it fun since Tate will be the only boy in this Cummard family at least he has some good cousins to play with. If it werent for Cache coming over ever time Tate yells for him over the wall, I think he would be bored stiff. He is so funny the minute that B leaves in the morning he goes out back and yells for him to come play.
Ty on Wed had a little bite looking thing on her leg that I thought nothing of. About 2 hours later we were at the Dr because it had turned into hives of some sort. She ran a fever off and on most of the week and the hives have come and gone and been in all different spots. Hopefully we are through with that. We were going to be going to Vegas but we didnt end up going, so Chad had the day off on Fri. We shopped and got a good amount of stuff done. Kristine and Kylan babysat and the kids had tons of fun. Oh and yet another bath for Ty. I just have to laugh now. She loves it so much and I just think she thinks she is supposed to take bathes. Is that the face of mischief of what? She is naughty but how do you explain that its good to take a bath when mom helps and without the clothes to a 1 year old. Im kind of stumped with it. Owell. She is a ton of fun and although a tad crazy I love it and am glad she keeps me laughing!!! Sat. we went to the QC parade and froze our rears off, but enjoyed ourselves. It was fun to see people we know in the parade. Kelli had her dance girls in it and they were awesome. After that we headed to the Sand Show out at the fair grounds. It was fun to see all the neat things there are. Maybe some day but for now I am great with my rhino. It has not broken down yet and we have had it a year. The golf cart broke every other day so Im glad this one is not a money pit. Julie and Brandon and the boys met us there and thenwe went to Mattas for dinner. The kids had to get on every toy that was there and Tate found a few things that he thinks Santa should bring him. Hopefully he will get over it when they dont appear Christmas morning. We did get him a new sandrail video that he loves though. Julie and I got snubbed by Scott Passmore from news channel 3, he wasnt the friendliest guy. Maybe it was all of our screaming kids that scared him!!!
Here is some serious trouble!!

Santa Tate and Brooks want this rail. It was only 55000 shouldnt be a problem right

I told Julie she was officially a beetle with these goggles on. I think I would have to say I like your other ones better!!

Brooks and I finished off the night with a little date. We went to see Enchanted. It was cute we both enjoyed it. It was good to spend some tine without the other yahoos!!! I could hardly keep my eyes open but we made it and neither of us fell asleep. It was a good weekend packed with stuff to keep us more busy then we need to be. We all had fun and spent time as a family and thats what counts.
